Technology Integration Specialist
Job Description
Overview:
The Technology Integration Specialist stipended position will aid educators in the use of
technology systems and equipment and keep the district current in acquisition of such
hardware and software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Provides Leadership in Technology Planning:
o With the Director of Teaching and Learning and the Director of Education
Technology and Instructional Innovation, leads the District’s work in
planning, developing, and implementing technology
o Supports in the deployment of device distribution to students and staff
o Continually explore emerging technologies and their role in education
o Draft and review policies and procedures related to technology (i.e.
Acceptable Use Policy, BYOD Policy and Email Policy)
o Work alongside building administrators to lead building-based technology
teams
o Actively participate in DCT meetings
● Leads Technology Professional Development:
o Plans and implements at least 2 professional development opportunities
per year in utilizing district technology
o Provides training to instructional staff in the use of student learning
management systems and assessment software
● Supports the use of Instructional Technology:
o Provides periodic reports on the condition and status of technology
resources and software use within each building
o Facilitates the learning and installation of new/updated software
o Manages and provides user support for school-based and/or district
software (i.e., STAR, StemScopes, Destiny, Ion, etc.)
o Maintains advanced instructional technology skills
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
● Expertise in using spreadsheets and word processing technology for data
management
● Knowledge of and experience with hardware and software used in an educational
setting
● Ability to collaborate with and train educators to advance technology education
● Knowledge of new developments in hardware and software
● High quality interpersonal skills
Position Qualifications:
● Teaching certification required
● Demonstrate technical skills & aptitude of varied computer software and
hardware
● Effective oral & written communication skills
● Service oriented

Terms of Employment:
10 12 month position
