COLCHESTER BOARD OF EDUCATION

                                Draft Goals v.2 - February 2021


REVISED: Goal #1
The Board is known for​ fostering and cultivating a welcoming, inclusive, and equitable ​culture
that promotes the overall well-being of our students, staff, caregivers, and the community.


Revised: Goal #2
The Board is known for ​growing innovative thinkers by investing in ​student achievement
through dynamic and appropriately resourced instruction that maximizes the individual
potential of students.


Revised: Goal #3
The Board is known for​ effective ​intercommunication​ (two-way) that builds connections with
the CPS community and promotes advocacy efforts at the local and state level.


Revised: Goal #4
The Board is known for​ purposefully aligning the needs of students with a fiscally responsible,
equitable, and transparent ​budget​.

Goal #1 ​The Board is known for​ fostering and cultivating a ​Culture​ that is positive, inclusive,
welcoming, and equitable among students, staff, caregivers, and the wider community.
       Indicators:
           ● Engage in culturally responsive practices
           ● Lead by example - Ambassador for the district


Goal #2 ​The Board is known for ​focusing on ​Student Achievement​ by fostering innovative
thinkers for a dynamic world through outstanding instruction.
        Indicators:
           ● Students achieving an optimal level of individual success (JR)
           ● supporting the intellectual, social, emotional and physical well-being of students
                and staff.

Goal #3 ​The Board is known for​ clear ​Communication ​with all stakeholders as a foundation for
identifying and responding to the needs of our district, and community, and effective advocacy
efforts at the town and state level.
