3. *PRIORITY DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS
   3.1 2021-2022 Budget Discussion
Superintendent Burt presented possible reductions to the proposed budget in the amount of
$275,000, as requested by the Board of Finance. While the Esser III, American Recovery
Plan Act (ARPA) funding allocations will be sent to Districts next week, the
Superintendent shared that some technology improvements may be covered by those
funds. Discussion ensued on the Capital Reserve fund, Capital Outlay, and Technology
Supplies. Information Technology expenses to be covered under Federal funding are
proposed, pending guidance from the State on use of funds.

One expense that we are certain will be covered by the ARPA grant is HVAC
replacements/repairs to improve air quality in our schools. Coverage of these expenses by
federal grants will allow the District to allocate funds toward other initiatives, including
preventative maintenance to avoid costlier repair in the future. Of note is the roof at Bacon
Academy; Principal Peel and Director of Educational Operations Mario Hurtado shared
      that substantial repair is necessary.

The BOE was in agreement that the proposed reductions are acceptable.

      No action taken.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT

5. ADJOURNMENT
   The meeting adjourned at 6:49PM.
