Subject: APPRECIATION
This school year has presented many challenges to students, faculty and staff. Everyone had to
change, adjust and endure, go the extra mile.
I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank our custodial staff. The pride in their work
and commitment to the wellbeing of our students and staff was evident throughout the year.
Added duties, change in work shifts and continued requests to do more were met with
promptness and professionalism.
The leadership of our Head Custodians was evident throughout. In the middle of a staff
shortage, the Head Custodians organized and provided the necessary resources to continue to
provide the extra support needed to keep our schools safe and clean and as always with a
welcoming smile while doing all of this work.
I know that in a caring town like Colchester, these actions don’t go unnoticed, but in a year like
this, the custodial staff should be especially recognized for their hard work and commitment to
our school district.
Please let me know if we can present this letter at the BOE meeting. I would like to inform the
HC’s, perhaps they would like to attend.
