Mr. Jeff Burt ECEIVE
Superintendent of Schools ee apes
Colchester, Connecticut SEP 2 4 202!
Dear Mr. Burt, BY: _.-----------~
| am writing to inform you that | will be retiring from the Colchester School District at the end of
this 2021-2022 school year. By June, 2022, | will have taught for 20 years (all of that time in
Colchester) after a 20+ year career as an engineer. | can honestly say that my career as a
teacher has been the highlight of my professional life and teaching is the best job in the world. |
can also say that | have taught with the most supportive staff and administration in the field of
education.
| am grateful for the opportunity that | was given some 19 years ago by the town of Colchester
and | can assure you that | will give 100% of my professional attention to the students of
Colchester during my last year. | will be forever thankful to Jennifer D’Aiuto, Chis Bennett, and
Stacy Ewings for their amazing administrative support and to my fellow Alpha Team teachers
(Eva White, Penny Zurowski, Ben Desrochers, and Brianne Vess) for their unending sense of
collaboration and desire to strive for excellence with the students of Colchester.
| will miss teaching but look forward to travel adventures, volunteer opportunities, and not
following a bell schedule. Thank you for the opportunity to work in the Colchester School
District.
Sincerely,
rane 0 Falun
