                                 SERAC Youth Survey Administration
                                         January 11, 2022

Colchester Youth Services has received 5 years of funding from the Centers for Disease
Control for the Drug Free Communities program. We are required to report on 4 core measures
from local data collection. The SERAC Youth Survey collects this core measures data. In 2019, the
SERAC Youth Survey was administered to all students in 6th through the 12th grade. At that time,
BOE approval was not specified for administering the survey on a recurring basis. We would like
approval to administer the survey in February or March of 2022 and again in 2024.
The funding we received for the Drug Free Communities program covers the administration
and analysis and reporting of the survey. Youth Services may be awarded an additional 5 years of
funding and in that case, we would want to continue administering the survey every other year
through that funding cycle. Surveying youth through the schools is the only way we can reach the
numbers of youth we need.

The four core measures we are required to collect data on are:
   1. Youth 30 day recent usage rates
   2. Perception of Risk
   3. Perception of Peer Disapproval
   4. Perception of Parental Disapproval
