Re: Resignation
Mr. Peel,
It is with a heavy heart, disappointment, and feelings of betrayal and deceit, that I submit this
letter of resignation from my position as School Counselor at Bacon Academy with the
Colchester Public School District effective June 21st, 2022.
I will complete the 2021 - 2022 school year, as it is in the best interest of the students, families,
and Bacon Academy community.
This resignation is not by choice. I love Bacon Academy, its students, families, and
professionals. However, according to the District I am not a “good fit.” I am hurt. I am sad. And,
I feel this is unfair and unjust. However, as an educator without tenure, this is obviously out of
my control.
I truly appreciate my time at Bacon Academy. I appreciate every single student, family, and
professional I was able to work and collaborate with. I hope they feel the same. I also appreciate
all of the knowledge, experience, insight, and skills I learned during my tenure.
I wish for nothing but the best for the future Bacon Academy community. I just wish I could be a
part of it.
