I respectfully request permission to dispose of two grand pianos in the Bacon Academy music
wing. In the opinion of the professionals, these two grand pianos are now unusable due to years
of exposure to variable levels of heat and humidity in the band and choir rooms. The need for
maintenance on one piano would exceed the cost of a new piano. The second piano is only able
to hold a tune for approximately one week when the normal period for a piano to hold its tune
can be up to 6 months.
