Dear Dr. McDowell and the Colchester Board of Education,
| am writing to inform you of my intention to retire from my position as Bacon
Academy School Social Worker effective July 1, 2023. | am proud to say that |
will be employed with the Colchester Public Schools for 29 years at the end of
the 2022/23 school year. | was hired in 1994 as the first school social worker in
our district serving Colchester Intermediate School under Principal Karen Loiselle
and William J. Johnston Middle School under Principal Geri Andrews. | was
reassigned to Bacon Academy at the request of Principal Bob Warren in 1997
and have been here ever since.
| am grateful for the years | served in the Colchester Public Schools, the learning
throughout those years and all of the relationships that were built through my
work with staff, students and their families.
| would appreciate confirmation of this letter and information providing any further
steps | will need to take to finalize my retirement with the Colchester Public
Schools.
