Dear Dr. McDorrell, Mr. Oliphant and Mernbers of the Board of Education:
Please consider this my letter of resignation from m,y position as the Head Varsity Girls
Basketball Coach at Bacon Acadgmy effective imm,ediately.
Ever since I was a surdent athlete at BaconAcademy, I have gtven my all to both the school and
its athletics programs. I have received back even more frrom my players over these last 27 years.
I would like to pusonally thank all of those players and coaches that I have had the privilege of
working with and an administration that gave me sarch a special opporHrnity. It has been my
desire to support my hometown student athletes in all phases of their athletic and scholastic
endeavors and bring to than my experience as a Dilrision I two sport athlete and as an eleven
year professional baseball player. The thousands ol' athlaes I have coached all have a special
place in my heart. I am honored to have grven 6&t- seasons at Bacon Acaderny as coach. I will
miss all of you, but especially the fine young men a.nd wofiien I was so blessed toteach and
coach.
