Disposal Letter 12/14/2022
Dear Colchester Board of Education,
The Career and Technical Education department is looking to dispose of the following items:
1. Two photo development tables- Both of these are located inside old dark rooms. The
space is needed for a club, and now that photography has moved to all digital formats
there is no need for older photo development equipment.
2. One metal foundry- We have an old 50s vintage metal foundry that has become
unreliable, and has served us well for many years, however its age is showing. In
addition the careers related to foundry work in Connecticut have diminished. We would
like to dispose of this item in order to make space for other technology and equipment
that aligns with modern day and futuristic careers. In addition we have casting sand that
would be disposed of with this foundry.
All equipment that is in working order will be offered to the Town of Colchester to see if it’s
something that they can use.
