Dear Superintendent Sullivan,
It is with mixed emotions that I submit to you this letter of resignation from my position
as Assistant Superintendent for Colchester Public Schools, effective September 29, 2023. It has
been an honor and privilege to have served the students and families of Colchester, as well as
work with the expert faculty and staff for over 17 years. Colchester has always been an
innovative and collaborative community that cares deeply for its students. I know that, under
your leadership, the leadership of the Board, and the leadership of the administrative team, that
the District is in an excellent position to be one of the best in the state. Only the opportunity to
assume my new role at the CT State Department of Education could have drawn me from
Colchester. I wish you, the Board, and the entire school community the best in the years to come!
