BACON ACADEMY
Colchester Public Schools
Disposal Request 11/7/23
Dear Colchester Board of Education,
Bacon Academy is looking to dispose of the following items:
Microscopes
For the past several years we have used departmental funds to update our fleet of microscopes. This
ensures less movement of the microscopes, a frequent cause of damage, as well as attrition of scopes
that may be in excess of 40 years old. Many of the older microscopes have been used for replacement
parts annually by our microscope repair vendor. The scopes listed here have been sitting on a cart
without use for the past 3 years.

Wrestling mats
We are requesting the disposal of 3 wrestling mats that are 25+ years old. They have been
stored in the block house since the replacement mats arrived in October of 2019. They are no
longer usable due to safety concerns.
Please let me know if any further information is needed for this disposal request.
Thank you,
Amy Beguė, Principal
