Dear Judy,

Please accept this letter as formal notification of my resignation from my position as a Teacher
at Colchéster Elementary School. My last day will be the final day of the 2023-2024 school year.

| have enjoyed working with and learning from the exceptional students and staff at CES; | am

greatly appreciative of the many opportunities provided during my time here. However, | have
decided to pursue my master’s degree full time.

Please know that this was not an easy decision, but the right one for me, both personally and 5
professionally, at this time. | am hopeful that when I have completed the continuation of my
education, | might be able to apply for an open position at CES.
Again, thank you for all of your support and encouragement.

, Sincerely,

Dear Daniel Sullivan,

| am writing this letter in order to let you know that | will need to resign from my Library Media Specialist position at JJIS-
after the last day of the current school year. Due to important family matters, | must work closer to home.

It is important to me (as | know how hard CPS is working to retain and attract teachers) to let you know that | have had a
GREAT experience at JJIS. The students, teachers, admin, families, and PD have all been wonderful. The innovation and
connection between district libraries and technology teachers has been so exciting and inspiring to be a part of, and | look
forward to staying connected to share ideas down the road.

| genuinely appreciate the opportunity that you have given me- when offering me this position at JJIS, and | wish everyone
happiness and success moving forward. (This community is so lucky to have so many dedicated

and innovative educators.)

Thank you for everything.

Sarah Dolan-Adamec

Dear Colchester Board of Education, Superintendent Daniel Sullivan,, and Principal Judy
O’Meara,

It is with mixed emotions that I write to inform you about my impending retirement after

teaching 35 years. My expected last day of teaching will be November 1, 2024, giving me a full
retirement.

It’s been my honor to have worked in Colchester for the last 24 years. I was first hired in 2000 as
a special educator and then transitioned to literacy specialist in 2008. I’ve worked with such
amazing and dedicated colleagues over the years and have had the wonderful opportunity to read
with hundreds of inspiring young readers. I even trained and certified two therapy dogs to have
them sit with readers during reading workshops on a monthly basis for over 10 years. COVID
ended my recent dog’s run. Maybe someday, I'll try it again.

Retiring in the fall after initia] ELA screeners are completed, instructional focuses are assigned
and reading routines established, will allow me to assist in the transition of my successor, if
needed.

I look forward to my new chapter spending more time with my family and having more
opportunities to pursue hobbies. It has been my honor to work in such a supportive and caring
community.

Sincerely,

Evin L. Hermann
