3.1 Approval of Policy Committee Meeting Minutes from May 1, 2024
Motion by: M. Gignac
Motion to approve minutes once edits are made.

4. *PRIORITY DISCUSSION / ACTION ITEMS
4.1 *Discussion and Possible Action on Series 1000 Board of Education Policies
The Committee discussed replacing following the current Board of Education Policies with
the Shipman version: 0521 Non-Discrimination Policy (Community), 1212 Volunteers, Student Interns, and
Other Non-Employees, 1250 Visitors and Observations in Schools, 1330 Use of School Facilities and 1331
Prohibition Against Smoking. The Committee also discussed that Policy Series 1000 Political Activities of
School Employee Policy needs to be moved to the 4000 Series. When the Committee discusses the 4000
Series, the Members will assign it a proper Series 4000 Policy Number. Policy 1324 Solicitation of Funds
needs revisions, Members will work on that for the next Policy Committee meeting.

Motion to remove Policy 1220 Citizens’ Advisory Committees. Policy 1220 Citizens’ Advisory
Committees will be brought to the full Board at the next Board of Education meeting.
