Dear Colchester Board of Education,
Bacon Academy is looking to propose the disposal of the following items below. Recently we
have been cleaning out a few areas and have accumulated some outdated and/or broken items.
Textbooks
Many CTE courses have transitioned from using traditional textbooks to other learning resources. In
addition all of these textbooks proposed for disposal are over 10 years of age.

Graphtec Plotter- Plotter is from the early 2000’s. It does not function, will Tech Ed. 1
not function on any of our current technology and is not worth repairing.
Ammco Brake Lathe- lathe is in need of some parts being replaced. In Tech Ed. 1
addition we rarely use the tool as most instances brake rotors are being
replaced (rather than resurfaced). This item will be offered to the
Colchester Town Garage before being disposed of.

Band uniforms - They are approximately 30-40 years old and have not Band multiple
been cleaned in many years due to not being worn. Bacon Academy no
longer has a field marching band so the uniforms have not been used in
many years.
