Bacon Academy
First Day
What is first day?
On the first day of school instead of having a full day of
classes we try to have a jam packed day full of fun!
This is a very special tradition because instead of
shoving the new freshman into a busy work-filled day
we show them just how fun Bacon Academy is. We are
actually coming close to 25 years of this celebration!!!
Students run through each of their classes for a very
short period and than all head down to the auditorium
for the first pep rally of the year.

○ Organized by leaders to be entertaining and spirited
○ Events included:
■ Go Find Me
■ Donut Eating Competition
■ Finish the Lyric
■ Tug-O-War
○ New competition introduced: Spirit King and Queen
■ Awarded to the boy and girl with the most spirit
■ Winners received a gift card
○ Senior class won the First Day Spirit Cup
■ Celebrated with balloons dropped from the ceiling

Our Vision
Annual School Theme
● Last Year’s Theme: Level Up
○ Goal: Encourage students to evolve and become
better versions of themselves
● This Year’s Theme: Bobcat/BA Pride
○ Main idea/goal: Show pride and enthusiasm for the
school
○ Aim: Bring back excitement to school life
○ Includes increased participation in pep rallies and
sports games

○ Significant display of school pride
○ The whole school was on their feet and cheering
How we got there…
● Funding for the Fun Day
○ Raised approximately $8,000 each year
