PREPARATION OF BUDGET DOCUMENT
The Board of Education asks the Superintendent to direct the preparation of the budget and submit it to the
Board for its tentative approval and for a later public hearing.
The Superintendent is asked to confer with the school staff on budgetary needs, as well as consider priorities that
have been determined by the Board.
Although there is no statutory requirements for involving the financial authority of the Town in the preparation of
a budget for the school district, it is the policy of this Board to discuss the proposed budget in advance with the
Board of Finance.
