Dear School Board, Colchester Public Schools Staff, and Community Members,
I wanted to personally thank everyone for your continued support of the Rally Against Cancer
this year. Thanks to the teamwork of all our schools, the Town Hall, and the central office, we've
raised around $10,523.92! William J. Johnston Middle School brought in the most cash at
$1,361, and we also got a wonderful $1,000 donation from Noel's.
Every year, I have the honor of hearing stories from people in Colchester who have dealt with
cancer themselves or have loved ones who have. This is a disease that touches so many
people in our town, our schools, and across the world. Events like this fundraiser provide
much-needed money to help find new and better ways to treat cancer. They also show support
for those in our community who are currently fighting this illness.
As we get ready for spring break, the online donation page will stay open until April 18th at
noon. So, we won't have the final number until we get back. But right now, our donations put us
in the top 5 supporters overall and the second-highest school district!
