Disposal Letter

                                   Disposal Request 5/21/25


Dear Colchester Board of Education,

Bacon Academy is requesting approval for the following:


   ●​ The Science department is requesting the removal and disposal of the following
      textbooks:

               57 copies of Miller- Living in the Environment 18th edition Copyright date of
               2015. New books were purchased in 2020 and the 2015 date is the 10 year
               expiration for AP texts usable by college Board standards

               13 copies of Campbell- Biology for AP. Editions; 3, 5, & 8. Edition 8 is 2008
               the others are 1999 and 1997. These books are past the ten year window
               requirement for AP text.

   ●​ The Music department is requesting disposal of the following items. All of the items are
      damaged, have been replaced over the years and set aside for newer things and are
      non-functional.

       2 cracked congo drums
       1 box of uniforms​
       2 old concert bass drums
       3 marching harnesses
       1 marching snare
       1 concert snare
       3 amps
       1 used bass drum head
