Dear Colchester Students and Families,
I want to take this opportunity, on behalf of the Colchester Board of Education, the
administration, and faculty and staff to welcome you back to school for the 2022 – 2023 School
Year!
We have been extremely busy over the summer cleaning and preparing our school buildings for
your return. We have hired several new staff members as well. Schools are very busy places
over the summer!
I have always found schools to be very empty spaces without students! I can’t wait to see all of
our kids in classrooms, interacting with their teachers and staff. The beginning of a new school
year is a very exciting time. I’ve been doing this for a very long time and I still get excited and
anxious. Yes, superintendents get goose bumps too! Enthusiasm is infectious!
I hope all of you have a great and rewarding school year. We stand ready to assist students and
parents in your journey. Educating children is an awesome responsibility and none of us take
that responsibility lightly. We also greatly appreciate your willingness to entrust us with your
children’s education and future. We’re partners in this endeavor.
