MINUTES

BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT : Chair Donna Antonacci, Vice-Chair Christopher Rivers, Secretary
Margo Gignac, Alexander Oliphant, Michelle Millington, Rosemary Gignac and Stefanie
Tracey-Calash.

ADMINISTRATION PRESENT : Superintendent Daniel P. Sullivan, III and Assistant Superintendent
Jessica L. Kuckel.

OTHERS PRESENT : Director of Finance and Operations Rachel Linkkila and Instructional
Technology Coordinator Barbara Johnson.

1. MEETING OPENING
1.1. Call to Order

Chair Antonacci called the meeting to order at 5:02 PM

3. *DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION
3.1. Impact to the Board of Education's Approved Budget as a Result of the Board of
Finance Actions

Superintendent Sullivan addressed the proposed budget reductions and asked whether the
Board preferred to make decisions on these reductions now or wait until the final budget figures are
available. He reviewed the list of reductions under consideration. There was a discussion regarding
the health reserve and cost reimbursement, clarifying that excess costs are allocated to the general
fund before being transferred. The Board agreed to continue this discussion at the upcoming Board
of Finance meeting.

R.Gignac arrived at 5:10 PM

 


 

C.Rivers stated that a decision should be made with the information known to make a
commitment to the public for what they are voting on.-He noted that funding from the federal
government remains uncertain and continuously shifts.

Motion to adopt these possible budget reductions as stated on the spreadsheet
provided by R.Linkkila on 4.29.2025.
